Christmas Time In November!

So every year about this time I ask Jimmy if its to early to put up the christmas tree, and every year he tells me yes. This year the same thing happened but this year he said "yes its to early but we can put it up anytime you want to."
I think that my training Jimmy is starting to work! Haha...
Today I asked him if he would get out the christmas box so I could look for my address book. Once he got it out he asked if I wanted to put the tree up since I didn't have to work. So of course I took him on up on his offer. Just like every year when it comes to putting on the tree branches of the fake tree, I get made fun of cause I flatten out the branches, and Jimmy likes to twist each on a different way so they look "fuller". So once I would put my branches on I would always catch a glimps of Jimmy "fixing" my branches. I just roll my eyes and laugh a little. Once we got the tree all put together when got the lights out and plugged them in to make sure that they worked. Of course not one single light would turn on. I didn't want to sit there and go through every light to find the one that was broke, so I suggested that we just run to Target and pick up some new lights. So once we got back from Target with our new lights I decided that I wanted to have flashing lights on the tree. So we found the flashers and changed out the lights in order for it to work. And of course, only 2 of the 4 flashers we got witht he lights worked. We messed with them of a half hour trying to find a way to get them to work. I was getting tired of messing with the lights, and I could also tell that Jimmy wanted to be done with the whole putting the tree up thing. So I gave in, and said that we could just have normal lights this year, so at least we would have lights to finish the tree today. I could tell that once I said that Jimmy was very happy that I didn't make him go back to Target.
After the lights and tinsel was on, now came our "traditional part".
Every year since our first Christmas in 2007, we go to Hallmark and I pick out a ornament, Jimmy picks one out, then we get a family one together. Then every year we put the older ones on the tree first and then make our way to the new ones.
Then we fill in with the normal colored ornaments. Our goal is to have our whole tree be full of just our Hallmark ornaments.
Yes my he doesn't look to thrilled
All our Hallmark ornaments so far!

I can't wait until we have a house, cause I love Christmas time and I'm excited to get more decorations!I love this time of year, I love to think back on Jimmy and I's first Christmas together. I love to remember how our Hallmark tradition started. Also I love to remember the night (12-23-07) that Jimmy asked me to marry him.
I am very grateful that I get a another year to celebrate this time of year with my wonderful husband and of course our two doggies.
I know its a little early, but I hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season. Remember its not about the gifts you get its about being with the ones you love!
